 Tools for Musical Development

Performance Anxiety.

These words conjure images of shaking hands, memory lapses, and crazy self-talk going through your head. We have all felt it at one time or another, and for some it can become completely debilitating. However, performance anxiety is often only a symptom of deeper things. It arises from beliefs about yourself and your ability to learn and perform. Similar beliefs affect whether you reach the highest level or fall short of your potential. I will introduce you to the processes that lead to mastery of music and performance, and those which threaten to end in frustration.

You will hear about the most effective ways to learn (and teach), and the best ways to think about what you are doing. This introduction will expand your musical toolbox and support your development towards greater enjoyment and optimal performance.
